Subject: APPLICATION FOR SCHEDULED ACTIVITIES PERMIT
Good day.
Please be informed that the Ethekwini Municipality Scheduled Trades and Occupations Bylaws, has been amended to Scheduled Activities Bylaws, 2019, which was developed late 2019, and became effective on the 1st of March 2021.
In this regard all existing Scheduled Trades and Occupations Permit are expired. All premises need to apply under a new by-laws.

What this means is that all companies that require a Schedule Trade / Scheduled Activities Permit need to re-apply. This means all manufacturing and related companies must re-apply. The new application requires much more detail as well as two newspaper advertisements (one in English and one in Zulu).
